I’d like to give a box of chocolates
To you on this day.
To tell you how I Love You
In a very special way.
I’d like to take you out to dine
On the most splendid fare.
All of these would let you know
Just how much I care.
I would like to send you flowers
In a special tied bouquet.
Or take you on an ocean cruse
To places far away.
I’d like to give you everything
Your heart is longing for,
Many things to say that you’re
The one that I adore.
You’re the rarest of the pearls
That anyone could find.
I’d like to share my life with you,
My Love, My Valentine.

Greetings in the Love of Jesus Christ:
Today is the day we celebrate Love and affections of the heart. What is Love? The Bible makes it clear and defines Love for us. God is Love - 1 John 4:7 - Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
1 John 4:8 - He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
How do we know God is Love and that He truly Loves us?
God demonstrated His Love for us in His Word. John 3: 16 "For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Nothing is greater than the Love of Jesus Christ. His heart was full of Love and Compassion for you. The heart that ceased to beat on the cross to pay for our sins. Scripture states in John 15:13 - Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
In 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 the Apostle Paul said,
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails.
On this day of Love, I pray that you will experience the Love of Jesus; nothing exceeds His Love for you. Nothing! And it is, after all, a Commandment.
John 13:34-35 - A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Matthew 5:1-10
Beatitudes
When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up the mountain; and after he sat down, his disciples came to him. Then he began to speak, and taught them, saying:
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
"Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
"Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.
"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
"Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Mark 10 13 1
13 People were bringing little children to him in order that he might touch them; and the disciples spoke sternly to them. 14But when Jesus saw this, he was indignant and said to them, ‘Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. 15Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it.’ 16And he took them up in his arms, laid his hands on them, and blessed them.

Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.' " 8 Then they remembered his words. 9 When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others. 10 It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles. 11 But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense. 12 Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.
No Rock, No Cross, No Shroud
By James E. Daily, I saw, the dedication and sacrifice of our soldiers in an active foreign military region. Their service and dedication protects our rights to individual freedom. They insure our right to liberty, justice, and life. Their actions guarantee our right to worship without fear of reprisal. Honor with Prayer our service men and women that stand in formation every day to protect our freedom. Remember and Pray for the souls of those that paid the ultimate price for our freedom. The patriotism shown by these men and women reflect great credit upon themselves and the United States. No finer soldiers are to be found throughout the free world.
In Europe, my Brother and I toured the locations where our Father had served. He served with General Patton during World War II and took part in eight major campaigns (dd214). Visiting the American Cemeteries, I learned that untold numbers of American Soldiers not only gave their life defending our country, but are interred in foreign soil. Many are still missing and unaccounted for. Give Thanks and Remember them today. I think of the words from Flanders Field, although it was written during World War I, it still rings true today.

In Flanders Fields
John McCrae, May 1915
In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row,That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, flyScarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throwThe torch; be yours to hold it high. Today, I remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001, when the world was shaken by an act of hatred and evilness of incomprehensible proportion. An act resulting is such tremendous loss of human life, property, and trust. Teach me to return love for hate, and to love my neighbor as myself.
As I remember the tragic events of September 11th, I think of the Prayer of St. Francis, words he lived by, such wise words quoted many times by Mother Theresa. Father, make me an instruments of thy Peace,

Pray of St. Francis

Lord Make me an instrument of thy peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love,
Where there is injury, pardon,
Where there is doubt, faith,
Where there is despair, hope,
Where there is darkness, light,
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Devine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console,
To be understood as to understand,
To be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive. It is in pardoning, that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
AmenEdward Webberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07943857169704229631noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5266789752144457725.post-73110132533289887132011-09-09T12:15:00.003-05:002011-09-09T13:37:56.483-05:00 Ever Present God, My Savior and Rock. Give thy peace, thy help, thy love unto us thy servants, the sheep of thy fold, that we may be united in the bond of peace and love, one body and one spirit, in one hope of our calling, in thy divine and boundless love.
Amen

Amen
